A 19-year-old Gering man has been arrested on felony child sexual assault charges following investigation of a Child Abuse Network report submitted to authorities.
Iziah Zitterkopf was taken into custody last Wednesday night on two Class 2 felony charges of first degree sexual assault of a minor.
According to the arrest affidavit, a CAPStone forensic interview took place earlier this month in Alliance, during which the 12-year-old victim told investigators of being sexually assaulted by Zitterkopf more than once at a Scottsbluff residence between July and early November.
Preliminary bond in the case was set at $250,000 with a ten percent provision, with an initial appearance set for Monday afternoon in Scotts Bluff County Court.
Zitterkopf had faced a similar accusation in a separate case filed in Oct. 2019 charging him as an adult, however that case was dismissed after an appeal to have that case tried in Juvenile Court.
