YORK- The York City Council approved a local disaster declaration, and it has been signed by mayor Barry Redfern regarding the public health concern of the COVID-19 outbreak. The declaration acknowledges that Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts has declared a state of emergency for the state. Redfern says that its just the paperwork necessary to take action if the city decides to declare an emergency.
