Northeast Community College to offer security and loss prevention course in Hartington

HARTINGTON – Northeast Community College in Hartington will offer a class beginning this month that is designed for area business people.

Security and Loss Prevention (CRIM2350/20S & CRN #24155) will be held Mondays, January 13-May 13, from 7-9:45 p.m., at Hartington Newcastle Public School. The class will be taught via distance learning two-way interactive technology.

Instructor Thomas Hardy will give participants insight into the complex problems of loss prevention in today’s society, including security staffing needs, and fire protection and control. Duties and responsibilities of security personnel, internal controls, emergency and disaster planning, and internal theft will also be addressed.

Cost of this three credit hour class is $366.
