Northeast to offer continuing education classes for insurance professionals

NORFOLK, Neb. – Northeast Community College will offer two continuing education courses for insurance professionals this month.

Insurance: Data Breach Management (33007-NE; 83644-IA) (INSU 5200/20SU & CRN #60030) will be held on Wednesday, June 24, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m., in the Lifelong Learning Center on Northeast’s Norfolk campus.

This course offers resources that are available to manage data breach, cyber issues and identity theft. It reviews a variety of data breach management programs, which offer tools and training options. Participants will be able to create their own data breach management framework and set policies for mobile device usage, social media and more.

Insurance: Bumping the Curb (6000054240-NE; 104649-IA) (INSU 5290/20SU & CRN #60029) will be held Wednesday, June 24, from 1-4 p.m., in the same location.

This course is included a review and discussion of three case studies on civil suit exposure, hit and run drivers, and how oversharing in social media may create uninsured gaps.

Laurie VanderWal is the instructor for both courses. Cost for each is $45.
