Northeast to provide more EMS workshops in area communities

NORFOLK – The Allied Health Department at Northeast Community College in Norfolk has announced several free, one-session workshops for emergency medical service technicians in the coming weeks.

The workshops are offered for three continuing education credits. They will be held from 7-10 p.m. in local fire halls, however, the Norfolk workshop will be held in the Arlo Wirth Building, Room #104, on the Northeast campus.

There is no need to pre-register. The workshops, dates and locations include:

Extrication Monday, November 18 Butte
Self Defense for EMS Thursday, November 21 Hadar
EPI IM Monday, December 2 Chambers
Diabetic Emergencies Wednesday, December 4 Clearwater
Cold Emergencies Monday, December 9 Orchard
Documentation Wednesday, December 11 Clearwater
EPI IM Tuesday, December 17 Norfolk
Pain Management/Narcan Thursday, December 19 Butte

Those who register for the EPI IM workshops must have had EPI/Albuterol training.

These workshops are funded in whole or in part with funds provided through the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services Office of Emergency Health System.
