YORK-  Sunday afternoon at 12:57 P.M.  a transformer in Nebraska Public Power Districts’s York southwest substation tripped disrupting power for 2,612 customers, according to Mark Becker, NPPD’s supervisor of media services. The power outage affected the York interchange and as far down as North Lincoln Avenue. The entire downtown was without power which did include the traffic lights having issues.
