Regional West Now Offers Robotic Guided Technology for Spine Surgeries

Regional West Physicians Clinic-Neurosurgery & Spine Center is pleased to now offer the Mazor X Stealth™ Edition Robotic Guidance System, robotic guided technology for spine surgeries, the cutting-edge technology in minimally invasive spine surgery.

“Robotic guided spine surgery allows us to perform less invasive spine procedures by executing an individualized surgical plan with well-defined precision through a small incision. Utilizing computerized surgical planning, 3D assessment of spine anatomy, live navigation feedback, and robotic guidance, this advanced technology provides an exceptional degree of accuracy throughout the surgical procedure,” said Regional West Neurosurgery and Spine Center neurosurgeon Raqeeb Haque, MD, FACS, FAANS. “This results in reduced time the patient is under anesthesia, decreased amount of radiation exposure to the patient and medical staff, shorter surgeries, shorter hospital stays, and decreased blood loss, ultimately returning patients to their active lifestyles sooner.”

“The robotic guidance platform can assist our surgeons in the treatments of many spine conditions, including: spinal tumors, spinal infections, spinal deformities, and spinal degenerative diseases. Robotic surgery enhances the surgeon’s human skills to deliver superior precision, all while the surgeon retains full control of the procedure,” said Regional West Director of Neurosurgery and Spine Center neurosurgeon Omar Jimenez, MD, FACS, FAANS. “This state of the art, robot guided spinal surgery will improve patient outcomes and speed recovery. We are proud to offer this technology to the communities we are honored to serve.”

Regional West is dedicated to bringing exceptional surgical care and new technology to patients in western Nebraska, eastern Wyoming, and northeastern Colorado and is the first institution in the state of Nebraska to use the Mazor X Stealth Edition technology.
