The fourth annual Radiothon for United Way of Western Nebraska is underway all day Thursday, headquartered at Main Street Market in Scottsbluff.

The fundraiser is the last major fundraiser to help United Way reach their 2019-20 campaign goal of $308,000

Executive Director Steph Black tells Rural Radio News they started the morning at 94% of that goal, and are hoping they can meet or even exceed it with your help. “I want to encourage everyone to listen to KNEB and their affiliated stations today, we have lots of great giveaways that local businesses have donated some prizes to incentivize people to give to United Way,” says Black. “We have some representatives from our agencies coming in, and some recipients of services from those agencies, to talk about United Way.”

This year features a new level of giving, in which participants can make a modest monthly donation. “It’s called the Community Partner level, and that’s a recurring donation you can do on either a debit or credit card at $12.50 per month, and that allows you to be a Community Partner, with lots of giveaways for anybody giving at that level today,” says Black.

The broadcasts for the 2020 Rural Radio United Way of Western Nebraska Radiothon can be heard throughout the day today until 6 p.m. this evening on KNEB 960 AM/100.3 FM, The Brand 94.1 FM, KMOR 93.3 FM, KOZY 101.3 FM, The Trail 106.9 FM and KOLT 690 AM/101.7 FM.

To make a donation, you can call 308-633-4000.
