Scotts Bluff County Assessor Resigns

Scotts Bluff County Assessor Resigns

Scotts Bluff County Commissioners Monday evening accepted the resignation letter of County Assessor Amy Ramos, who’s last day on the job will be January 31st.

Board Chair Ken Meyer read her resignation letter aloud in the meeting.

In the letter, Ramos said while she has enjoyed working with the County, personal reasons make it necessary to vacate her position and focus on her health and her family.

Ramos also said she is grateful for the opportunities she has been given with the County, and has made lifelong friends along the way. She said this was not an easy decision, but one that needed to be made.

In the letter, Ramos also thanked constituents for voting her into office and noted she had some office staff in mind that would make good replacements.

Commissioners will begin the process of replacing Ramos at their next meeting January 19th by naming an interim, most likely Deputy Assessor Angela Dillman, who would take over February 1st.

They will also discuss a process for naming a successor who would serve the balance of Ramos’ elected term as County Assessor.

Meyer praised Ramos’ work for the past 16 years, saying she was an asset to the county and a pleasure to work with.
