Special Deliveries Brighten Holidays for WNCC Adult Ed Students

The holidays are a little brighter this year for Adult Education students at WNCC, thanks to a special effort to do a bit of shopping for them.

Program staff, volunteers and others put together baskets of food, non-perishables, games, and other items Friday, then loaded a caravan of vehicles and spend the day making deliveries to the students throughout the Panhandle.

The program usually does a holiday shopping experience for the students, but because of COVID they weren’t able to do that this year.

However, thanks to the generosity of ALLO Communications, Perkins, WNCC staff and faculty, Soroptimist International of Scotts Bluff County, 1st Christian Church, St. Francis Episcopal Church, and local families, the college was able to shift gears, and make the delivery of boxes and baskets to nearly 50 students.
