A Torrington man wanted for a shooting in Goshen County earlier this month is in custody in Scotts Bluff County.
Scotts Bluff County Court records say Jaeden Redder was slated to appear Friday morning on local charges of suspicion of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, as well as a nationwide warrant with no bond for aggravated assault issued by Goshen County.
Information from the Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Department says deputies arrested the 18-year-old Thursday night shortly after 6:30 p.m. at a Henry residence.
Torrington Police had been seeking the 18 year old since the Dec. 13 incident in which a man was shot in the abdomen at a Torrington residence and sought medical attention at Torrington Community Hospital.
A motive for the shooting hasn’t been disclosed, and the 19-year-old victim, Austin Peters, was expected to make a full recovery.
In Wyoming, aggravated assault carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, a $10,000 fine or both.
