Trespassing Results in Multiple Charges for York Man

YORK-On Saturday, August 10th, The York Police Department was called to a residence in town at 6:47 P.M. on reports of an unwanted stranger in their home. According to court documents, a male by the name of Daniel Alexander was standing in a hallway of the home. Also according to court documents, he began to yell at the officers making threatening statements about wanting to fight and took an aggressive stance, looking as if he was preparing to engage with law enforcement. The officers did attempt to speak to Alexander to deescalate the situation but Alexander continued to yell threats and profanity. An officer had to identify Alexander as he wouldn’t do so when asked.

According to court documents, officers then attempted to handcuff Alexander, but he resisted arrest and was tased. Alexander is charged with Class 1 misdemeanors in criminal trespassing, resisting arrest, and a Class 3 misdemeanor charge of disturbing the peace. Bond is set at $5,000 and 10%. His pretrial hearing will take place on September 11th.
