Troop B Plans Special Enforcement Activities in Burt, Stanton, Cuming, and Madison Counties

Troop B Plans Special Enforcement Activities in Burt, Stanton, Cuming, and Madison Counties

The Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) Troop B- Norfolk will be conducting a series of special enforcement activities aimed at combatting impaired driving and alcohol related violations. Healthy Communities Initiative has provided grant money to help fund these efforts.

The special enforcement will include sobriety checkpoints and high visibility patrols during the evening and early morning hours, in an effort to reduce the potential for serious injury and fatality crashes. These extra funds help the NSP keep Troopers out longer and have a better presence to combat poor driving decisions.

“It is our hope a strong law enforcement presence will lead drivers to voluntarily comply with all traffic safety laws.” said Captain Paul Hattan, Commander Troop B-Norfolk.

Sergeant Ben Brakenhoff, Sergeant Troop B-Wayne, who will be coordinating these special enforcement efforts reminds everyone, “Help us save lives, always buckle up and never drive impaired or distracted.” ###
