YORK- A Waco man has been sentenced to 40-60 years in prison for two counts of sexual assault of a child. Philip K. Wooby, 45, was sentenced to a term of 20-30 years for each count. He was initially charged with first-degree sexual assault of a child, which is a Class 1B felony and carries a possible maximum sentence of 20 years to life in prison upon conviction, possession of child pornography which is a Class 2A felony and has a maximum sentence of 20 years if convicted and committing child abuse intentionally, a Class 3A felony, which carries a possible maximum sentence of three years in prison upon conviction. The charges were amended to two counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child as part of a plea agreement. Wooby pleaded guilty to both counts.
