York City Council Decides to Keep Ballparks Closed, Group Home and Group Care Facility Ordinances Addressed at Next Meeting

YORK- On Thursday, June 4th, the York City Council meeting had a long agenda to go through. The major discussions were about keeping the baseball complex closed and ordinances in regards to group homes and group care facility ordinances in residential areas. When it came to the ballpark complex, they decided to keep the fields closed to all outside tournaments in addition to York teams. Of course all baseball and softball teams in York have canceled their seasons. For the group homes and group care facilities, a long discussion took place from the council and community members, but the council decided to address that at the next meeting. The next York City Council meeting is scheduled for Thursday, July 18th.
