York County Community Sector Briefing, June 11th

YORK COUNTY- During Thursdays Community Sector Briefing, a number of topics were discussed, but a few highlights from the meeting were:

  • Four Corners Health Department Director Laura McDougall said that positive cases arent happening as often. As of June 10th, there have been 130 positive cases, 15 are still active, 114 recovered, and one death. 2,032 tests had been conducted as of June 10th also.
  • Chairman of the York County Commissioners Randy Obermier says the DMV continues to be busy. Last week on Thursday and Friday they had 502 visitors and a number from other counties including Lancaster County. Obermier said that if you are going to the DMV, expect to wait with the high volume of people.
  • The Mayor of York, Barry Redfern, says that the next City Council Meeting will be at the York City Auditorium. They anticipate another large crowd.
  • York County Health Coalition says that Blue Valley Community Action is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1pm-3pm. York County Health Coalition has distributed 569 fabric masks and they have 200 remaining.
