YORK- York jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter, and then a safety early in the second quarter gave the Dukes a 9-0 lead, but 19 unanswered points from Beatrice was the difference as the Orangemen took the win 19-16. As mentioned the Dukes started strong but Brody Nelson’s 143 yards on the ground was key for the Orangemen to collect this win. In addition, junior quarterback Bennett Adams collected three touchdowns, two through the air and one on the ground.

Jacob Diaz led the way for York with 86 yards and one touchdown. Beatrice is now 2-3 and will host Northwest next week. York Falls to 2-3 and will hit the road against Hastings next week.
