February 5th, 2020 | Amanda Mendoza

OSCEOLA- The Eagles of BDS soared to a pair of victories on Tuesday night over Osceola. The girls final was BDS winning 65-16 over the Bulldogs. The Boys game was similar as the Eagles won 56-19.

In the girls matchup, it took BDS no time to stake out a large lead as they were in control from the outset 25-6 at the end of the first period. From there, they continued to play tough defense and execute on the offensive end. Regan Alfs led the way for BDS with 10 points.

Int he boys game, it looked like initially, it was going to be a tight battle as the Eagles had a 9-7 over Osceola heading into the second period.  But in the second quarter, BDS outscored Osceola 15-6 to claim a 24-13 halftime lead and they never looked back from there. Dalton Kleinschmidt had a big game with 16 points for the Eagles.

Osceola will now play Thursday against Fullerton. For BDS they are off until Friday when they play Shelby-Rising City. That game can be heard on 104.9 Max Country with pregame at 5:50 P.M., the girls game at 6:00, and the boys to follow.
