It was a sweep for BDS Friday night in Hampton, as the Eagles notched a pair of wins in Crossroads Conference basketball action. In girls play, after a tight first quarter, BDS opened up a 10 point lead by halftime, 28-18, then cruised to a 55-32 victory over the Hawks. BDS was led by senior all-stater Macy Kamler’s 16 points. Sophomore Jessalynn Hudson added 13 for the victorious Eagles. Senior Lexie Wolinski and sophomore Lillian Dose scored 9 points apiece for Hampton.
The nightcap was all Eagles, as the BDS boys grounded the Hawks in convincing fashion, 57-17. BDS jumped out to a quick 15-3 first quarter lead and never looked back in the contest. By intermission they had expanded their advantage to 37-6, and went on to a 57-17 win over Hampton. Junior Eli Noel led the way for BDS, leading all scorers with 15 points, and senior Dalton Kleinschmidt added 12. Senior Jake Arndt and junior Justin Gyhra each had 9 points for Hampton.
