Briar Cliff Men announce incoming recruiting class

Briar Cliff men’s basketball head coach Mark Svagera has announced the signing of 16 athletes to his 2020-21 team. The list includes three transfer students and 13 freshmen with numerous athletic accolades.

“We’re really excited to welcome a new batch of Briar Cliff basketball players to the program and the university,” said Svagera. “There is a lot of talent in this group; It’s a deep class with a lot of players that earned all-state and all-conference recognition at their respective high schools. They are not only good players but also a group of young men that will represent Briar Cliff in a great way as well.”

The class is highlighted by the return of Kyle Boerhave to the Cliff. Boerhave, a freshman in the 2018-19 season, earned all-GPAC honors in 2019 before spending the 2019-20 year away from basketball at the University of Iowa. The full 2020-21 list can be found below.
