FREMONT – Bancroft-Rosalie/Lyons-Decatur overcame a halftime deficit to win its third straight boys East Husker Conference Basketball Tournament championship, by defeating Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family 62-49 at Midland University on Saturday, in a game aired on 107.9 The Bull.
The teams were tied at 14-14 after the first quarter, but H/LHF ended up taking a 29-25 lead into halftime.
The Wolverines had a huge third quarter, outscoring H/LHF 15-4, and led 40-33 after the third.
BRLD then went off for 22 points in the fourth quarter, and separated themselves from the Bulldogs, winning 62-49.
Sage Frauendorfer scored 10 points off the bench to lead the Bulldogs.
Dylan Beutler had 24 points to pace BRLD, with Micah Henschen adding 14 points and Toriano Bohannon Jr. scoring 12.
The EHC Championship is the third straight for the BRLD boys.
