The Central Community College women’s basketball team lost at North Central Missouri College, 79-55, on Saturday.
The 13th-ranked Lady Pirates built a 41-28 halftime lead before holding the Raiders to eight points in the third quarter for a 20-point advantage. North Central held on to hand CCC its fifth straight setback.
“We started off well but just could not sustain they speed,” said CCC head coach Billy Perkins. “I was proud of our effort and how our team never quit playing.”
Bailey Keller led three CCC in double figures with 14 points, while Brittney Veik added 11 points. Macey Thege finished with 10 points.
The Raiders are 3-9 overall.
Up next, CCC will travel to Southeast Community College on Saturday for a 2 p.m. showdown.
