The Briar Cliff women’s basketball program has announced the signing of Lauren Hauser to its 2020-21 squad. Hauser is currently a senior at Northwest High School in Grand Island, Nebraska.
“We are so excited for Lauren to be a Charger,” said coach Bay’lee Purdy. “She is an excellent 3-point shooter and will impact our program on and off the court! Lauren comes from a high school program that has had great success. She knows how to win and we cannot wait to get her on the court next season!
Hauser has earned six varsity letters for the Vikings with two in volleyball and four in basketball. She is a three-time all-conference pick in basketball and was named to the Class B All-Tournament Team as a junior, when she won a state championship. Hauser has also earned all-conference honors in volleyball, including a first-team selection as a senior.
In addition to her involvement with athletics, Hauser is also a member of the National Honor Society. She is the daughter of John and Libby Hauser and plans to major in biology at the Cliff.
