(AUDIO) CRC Tournament Gets Underway With An Action Packed Saturday

YORK- The York High School gyms was the site of the first day of the Crossroads Conference Volleyball Tournament on Saturday as nine matches took place with the first contests starting at 2:00 P.M. and the last game starting around 6:40 P.M.

For the two o’clock games Exeter-Milligan began the day with a sweep of East Butler. The same went for Hampton as they took down High Plains two sets to none.

Then Shelby-Rising City beat Dorchester two sets to none and Cross County swept McCool Junction as well.

In the four o’clock matches both Nebraska Lutheran and Meridian won, as the Knights took down the Bulldogs of Osceola and the Mustangs dismantled Hampton.

Then it was a victory for #2 seeded Giltner as they beat Shelby-Rising City in three sets. #4 seeded Cross County, a potential favorite to win the whole tournament, was beaten by #5 seeded Exeter-Milligan in three sets.

The final match of the day was between top-seeded BDS and Nebraska Lutheran and the Eagles cruised to a victory by sweeping the Knights.

On Monday, tune in at 4:00 P.M. with Mike Meyer as #12 East Butler takes on #13 McCool Junction and following that game will be #8 Osceola taking on #6 High Plains.

Then tune in with following the Osceola and High Plains game for #2 Giltner as they take on #3 Meridian. At 7:30 #1 BDS will take on #5 Exeter-Milligan.
