Cross County takes home 2020 CRC Volleyball Tournament title

YORK – Cross County, the 6-seed, is the 2020 Crossroads Conference volleyball champion after defeating #1 BDS in a five-set thriller 3-2 (25-19, 25-22, 18-25, 22-25, 17-15). Cross County senior Cortlyn Schaefer had 23 kills in the match. The Cougars are now at 21-9 on the season. BDS comes up just short of defending the title, and moves to 25-3 on the season.
Earlier in the evening, #3 Exeter-Milligan beat #5 McCool Junction in a sweep (26-24, 25-12, 27-25) to take home third place this tournament.
Two consolation matches also took place at the York High School auxiliary gym #8 Meridian took down #4 Dorchester 2-0 (25-21, 25-16) and #7 High Plains beat #3 Hampton  2-1 (25-21, 22-25, 25-19).
