PIERCE – The Highway 91 softball team defeated Pierce 21-5 in action aired on 107.9 The Bull Tuesday night in Pierce.
The Cyclones scored six runs in the top half of the first inning, taking an early 6-0 lead. Pierce scored four runs of their own in the bottom half, making it 6-4 after one complete.
Highway 91 then outscored Pierce 19-1 over the next two innings, and the game was called after the third due to the mercy rule, giving the Cyclones the 21-5 victory.
The Cyclones racked up 17 hits in the game, and Jaedyn Ratzlaff was the winning pitcher.
Highway 91 improves to 4-1 on the season and will take part in the Tekamah-Herman triangular on Thursday, 8/29.
