Dukes Start Slow, Finish Strong Against Alliance

YORK- York hosted Alliance Friday night to start the football season and won by a final score of 30-9. Click here to listen to the podcast of the game.  The Dukes got on the board first leading 7-6 at the end of the first quarter, but both York and Alliance struggled to get anything going as the teams were tied at 9-9 heading to halftime.

The second half got started with a bang when Wyatt Collingham took the kickoff 85 yards for a score making it 16-9. Jacob Diaz then scored from 28 yards out pushing the lead to 23-9  with 7:40 left in the game. The game was capped off when Collingham went 49 yards on the ground making it 30-9

York was led on the ground by Jacob Diaz as he had unofficially 128 yards and one score. Trevor Dubray 115 yards and score through the air for Alliance.

York moves to 1-0 and will face Blair next week and is 0-1 Alliance will take on Chadron.
