Mustangs capture first ever High School Football title

McCool Junctions’ senior Owen McDonald put on a first-half star performance in leading the Mustangs to a D-6 State Championship over the Sterling Jets, 70-20. McDonald rushed for 393 yards and scored 8 touchdowns, with 7 in the first half. He kicked 8 PAT’s and led the team in tackles with 8. His performance eclipses the most points in a (6 Man) game with 64, breaking the 2018 record of 62 points by Christian Timm of Eustis-Farnam. McCool cruised to a commanding halftime score of 62-14. The Mustangs, runner up in 2019, finished the season at 11-0. Sterling dropped to 10-1 for the year.
