(AUDIO) Mustangs Remain Undefeated

SUTTON- The Mustangs have been on a tear this season and in last nights Junior Legion matchup against the First Tier Bank Bandits was much of the same. Sutton won the first game 10-5 and then the second one 15-7. In the first game, Overton jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning, but later in the contest Sutton trailed 5-2 in the bottom half of the 5th inning and the Mustangs scored eight runs to claim a 10-5 lead and never look back. Myles Jones went 3 1/3 innings and struck out five batters en route to the victory.

In game number two, the Mustangs were in control the entire time, scoring at least two runs in each inning of the game, winning via the run rule. Issac Stark was extremely efficient as he went 3 innings and struck out nine batters. The First Tier Bank Bandits fall to 0-5 and play Broken Bow today for a juniors and seniors doubleheader. For Sutton, they improve to 7-0, and they will play against Wood River on Friday night for another doubleheader. You can catch the games on 104.9 Max Country with pregame at 5:20 P.M., and first pitch at 5:30. The second game will start around 8:00.
