NORTH BEND – North Bend Central built an early lead and never looked back on thei way to a 60-25 win over Howells-Dodge in the quarterfinals of the girls East Husker Conference basketball tournament in North Bend on Monday, in a game aired on 107.9 The Bull.
The Tigers led 20-9 after the first quarter, and took a 34-15 advantage into halftime.
NBC won the third quarter 15-5 and also outscored Howells-Dodge 11-5 in the fourth, winning 60-25.
Kaitlyn Emanuel led three NBC players in double figures with 21 points, while Sydney Emanuel scored 13 and Cierra Kluthe added 11.
Jaedyn Ratzlaff had 10 points for Howells-Dodge, including a pair of three pointers.
NBC is now 14-2 and will meet West Point-Beemer in the EHC semifinals Thursday at 6:00 at Midland University.
Howells-Dodge is now 10-10 and will drop to the consolation bracket.
