COLUMBUS, Neb. – After scoring 25 points at halftime, the Northeast Community College men’s basketball team couldn’t keep pace with Central Community College on Wednesday night, falling 85-60 at the Raider Fieldhouse in Columbus.

A cold-shooting effort plagued the Hawks (12-14, 2-4 ICCAC) as they shot just 30 percent from the field and 21 percent from the three-point line.

Ben Moxness (Scribner, Neb.) led the Hawks with 16 points. Michael Anderson (Lincoln, Neb.) added 15 points and nine rebounds, while Emmette Page (Crystal, Minn.) had 10 points.

The Hawks hit the road to take on No. 4 Indian Hills Community College at 7 p.m. Saturday in Ottumwa, Iowa for an ICCAC match-up.
