Northwest beats Seward in Thriller

SEWARD- A hard-fought battle in Seward as Grand Island Northwest drove to score in the final quarter to secure the win, 24-17. Quarterback Sam Hartman scored three times to lead the Vikings to the win. Bryce Piskorski for Seward had 8 receptions to lead the Bluejays. Seward was hampered by 11 penalties including one that negated a touchdown. Gavin Sukup, Seward, had two touchdown passes and Parker Hammond added a field goal but GINW sealed the victory late in the fourth quarter. Seward is on the road to Beatrice to take on the Orangemen on October 9th .
