PANTHERS OFFENSE STALLS AGAINST TABOR

January 30th, 2020 | Amanda Mendoza

YORK – York College did a good job defensively holding the visiting Tabor College Bluejays to 65 points, unfortunately, the offense wasnt able to keep up as the Panthers only scored 38 in the loss. The Panthers held the Bluejays to under 40% shooting from the field.

Melody Thomsen (SR/Westminster, Calif.) led York with eight points off of the bench. Julia Trujillo (JR/Denver, CO) finished with six points and nine rebounds.

The Panthers toughest task they had all night was created by themselves. York committed 20 turnovers which attributed to 26 points by Tabor. Tabor also was a perfect 19-of-19 from the charity stripe as they didnt allow the Panthers any type of a comeback in the fourth quarter.

York will a week off before they play again traveling to Salina, Kansas to face Kansas Wesleyan on February 5.
