Tom Whitney shot three rounds in the mid-60’s over the weekend and won the 2019 Platte Valley Pro-Am at the Scotts Bluff Country Club by eight shots.
The La Quinta, California native posted rounds of 64, 64, and 65 to finish at 23 under par for the three day event.
Whitney, who also won this event in 2014, carried a eight shot lead into the final round and never wavered. Nick Mason out of Denver, Colorado finished second at 15 under par.
Whitney took home a $10,000 check along with that first place finish.
The top area finisher was Austin Miller of Gering who posted a final number of one over par after rounds of 77, 73, and 67. Miller finished in 21st place.
Brock Ehler of Scottsbluff finished in a tie for 22nd place at two over par.
Max Hadenfeldt of Scottsbluff finished in 27th place at five over par.

Finishing first in the amateur portion of the event was the team of Paul Mohr, Ryan Bolzer, Brandon Stark, Shane Luebe, and Ryan Green.
