SEWARD-In Class B softball action Monday evening in Seward, the Bluejays dominated from the get-go, and demolished Columbus Lakeview 12-0, in a run-rule shortened three-inning game. Seward jumped out to a 6-0 lead, sending 11 hitters to the plate in the first inning. The big blow in the frame was a three-run home run off the bat of junior left fielder Hannah Benedict. The onslaught continued in the second inning, when Seward batters stroked three doubles and plated 4 more runs. Senior shortstop Grace Hamling sent the first Hanna Allen pitch of the third inning over the fence, and, following a Benedict single, junior right fielder Claire Geidel ended the game with an RBI double.
