YORK- Today (Wednesday) a pair of York Duke Football players signed their letters of intent to play football at the next level. Jacob Diaz, a running back and linebacker, will be heading to Rapid City, South Dakota to play for South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. He says that a connection with defensive coordinator Vance Winter was a key component in why he chose South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.

Diaz had 305 yards rushing this season and three touchdowns but was limited with injuries during his senior campaign. As a junior, he rushed for 942 yards and 12 touchdowns. As Diaz said he will be studying in the field of Engineering.

Offensive and defensive lineman Beau Woods is heading to Midland to play for the Warriors. He mentioned that a number of GPAC schools piqued his interest but Midland seemed like the right fit.
