West Point Unified Bowling Results

Results of the High School Unified bowling tournament held in Fremont on Saturday November 23rd.

The tournament started out with each team bowling 3 baker games. After those games the teams were seeded in either a championship or consolation bracket.

Both West Point teams qualified for the championship bracket.

West Point B team – Brian Rodriguez, Riley Heller, Cristian Tecuanhuey, Landon Wilson and Brooklyn Ostrand.

Baker game scores were- 132- 102-106 for a 340 total and entered the bracket as the 3rd seed and bowled against the 6th seed Fremont #3 team in their first bracket game and won 2-1 in the best of 3 games. Scores were 106-125, 98-75 & 135-112.

In their semi-final game against Waverly #1 team, the 7th seed, West Point lost 2-0. Game scores were 121-131 and 107-130 and were then eliminated from play.

West Point A team- James Meiergerd, Trevor Francis, Brody Schlickbernd, Logan Wilson and Devon Chambliess.

Baker game scores were- 115-76-114 for a total of 305 and they entered the bracket as the 8th seed and bowled against the #1 seed Wahoo and won 2-0 with the scores of 162-126 & 127-105. In the semi final game against the 5th seed Fremont #1 team, West Point won 2-1 with scores of 127-114, 124-228 & 146-137.

That set up the Finals between the 8th seed and the 7th seed, West Point #1 and Waverly #1 with West Point winning 2-0. Scores were 159-145 and 126-110.

“We put together some quality games after working hard in practice on their form along with picking up spares. The athletes had fun and both teams were very proud of their accomplishments in the tournament.” Barb Rolf said.

West Point’s next meet is Districts in Norfolk on December 3rd starting at 10:30.
